What is Framework?

A framework is considered to be a set of protocols, rules, standards and guidelines that can be incorporated or followed as a whole to get better results.
Without automation we can do the work, however with automation we can do the work efficiently.

Let us take a real life scenario:

Suppose you are going to organize a one day picnic party for which you set following guidelines.
-Numbers of people interested for the party.
-Note all the events to do there.
-Decide the spot, date of the party and menu item.
-Finish the shopping of items for menu item one day before party.
-List all the necessary things to be taken to make it enjoyable like music system, playing equipments etc.
-Discuss with different travelling agencies before few days of the party to get the best vehicle with reasonable price.
-Decide the boarding point and set a time for it, so that all will be able to reach at the boarding point in time to avoid delays.
-Set the leaving time from the spot.
-Count all peoples before leaving the spot so that nobody miss the vehicle.

Do you think you can conduct a picnic party WITHOUT observing these guidelines?

The answer is a big YES! Certainly you can conduct the picnic party without above guidelines (in fact some of us will not follow them even though there are laid .)

But if the guidelines are followed, we will make it more enjoyable and avoid unnecessary delay on waiting for people, searching musical instrument and playing equipments etc. at the last moment.

Test Automation Framework

Automated testing frameworks provide test environment structure that offers some protocols, rules, standard and guidelines for testing which will help in creation, organization and execution of test efficiently.
